The new newly formed Navan Senior Women's J1/2nd XV had a squad of 20 players to go on the road to play Louth County, but unfortunately the game was conceded by Louth County.
The team however were able to get a fixture against Virginia RFC. This was part of the launch of the biodiversity training areas and family fun day in Virginia RFC. Navan were delighted to take part in the occasion.
It was a very tough game. Virginia RFC had a very good start but this didn't stop Navan who came back. ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ป ๐ช๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ had an incredible game from inside centre, carrying hard and hitting everything that moved. ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ต ๐ข'๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป in her first ever match proved to be incredibly strong in contact, never taking a backward step! ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ got over the white wash twice during the game, leading the way for the team to follow. ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ต ๐ ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ got her name on the scoresheet also, converting a try. Another incredible first cap was ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐ค๐๐ถ๐ป๐ป, who chased down a certain try for Virginia with a never say die attitude.
The result didn't go our way with Virginia came out on top winning 27-12.
