In a Friday night fixture at Balreask Old, Navan Men's 3rd XV showcased resilience and determination as they secured a comeback victory against Old Belvedere in the Leinster Metro League Division 7.
Old Belvedere started the game brightly, taking an early lead with two converted tries, putting Navan at a 0-14 deficit on the scoreboard. However, the home side rallied displaying teamwork and determination with a series of tries without reply.
Old Belvedere struggled to break through Navan's solid defense, while Navan capitalized on their momentum, taking the advantage to capitalize. The final whistle blew with Navan winning 31-14.
The win lifts Navan to the second spot on the table, ahead of the continuation of their campaign in the Leinster Metro League Division 7.
Navan Men's 3rd XV looks to carry the momentum into their next challenge as they face Guinness at the Iveagh Grounds, Crumlin on Saturday, 2nd December, with a kick-off scheduled for 2pm.
