Navan Rugby Football Club held its 95th Annual General Meeting in the Long Bar of the Clubhouse at Balreask Old, on the evening of Thursday 23rd May 23rd, 2024.
The meeting provided a comprehensive review of the club’s on-field and off-field activities throughout the recently concluded season, highlighting significant achievements and changes within the club, including major initiatives such as the "Buy-A-Brick" scheme and the development of the new club gymnasium.
Season Review
Outgoing Director of Rugby, John Duffy, delivered an overview of the season for the adult teams:
- The Men's 1st XV team finished in a commendable fifth place in Division 2A of the Men's Energia All-Ireland League just three points short of the play-off position.
- Both the Women's 1st & 2nd XV teams achieved remarkable success, each securing their respective league and cup doubles.
- The Men's Under 20 program was successfully restarted, showing promising signs for future development.
John Duffy also took the opportunity to wish incoming Director of Rugby, Adam Delahunt, well for the upcoming season.
Remarks from Outgoing Club President
Damien Dixon, the outgoing Club President, expressed his gratitude and honor in representing Navan RFC over the past year. He extended his best wishes to incoming Club President, Scott Ennis, who will lead the club into its "Centenary Season."

The meeting also saw the election of new members to the club’s executive committee for the 2024/2025 Centenary Season. The elected individuals are as follows:

Additionally, the club trustees for the upcoming season were confirmed:
