Navan Women's 2nd team travelled to Kilkenny & came into the game knowing they were playing a tough, well drilled Kilkenny side and that’s exactly what they got. The opening exchanges were hard fought with neither team team giving an inch. Navan scored a well worked try from Rhiannon after going through some phases. After that, Kilkenny really turned on the pressure with some clever kicking and using their pace on the edges. Navan played hard but began to struggle to control the Kilkenny pace and power as they made their pressure count on the scoreboard. Navan finished the half well and were unlucky not to score just before the half-time whistle. 

Injury’s for Navan and the Kilkenny pace started to be the difference maker as the  2nd half wore on. Navan kept fighting the end, but Kilkenny were deserved winners on the day.

This team now look on to the Plate starting next Sunday.
