It was a proud day for Navan RFC as the club was strongly represented in both senior and underage action during the opening round of the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship & PwC Under-18 Girls Interprovincial Championship at Energia Park, Donnybrook on Sunday.
Senior Women – Leinster 37, Ulster 21
Navan’s Rosie Searle made her senior debut for Leinster, coming off the bench ten minutes into the second half and making an immediate impact at openside flanker.
The Leinster backline was also under the guidance of Michelle Claffey, Navan RFC player and assistant coach.

U18 Girls – Leinster 36, Ulster 7
In the day’s second match, Navan’s Emma O’Rourke started at Number 8 for the Leinster U18 Girls side and played a pivotal role in their dominant win, carrying powerfully and leading the defensive effort.
Leinster will also face Munster at Energia Park next Saturday following the senior game.
