In the first of three games for the women's section of Navan RFC over the weekend, Navan Women's J1's travelled for a game v Ashbourne.
Ashbourne started off the better of the two teams however this did not deter the Navan players.
An unbelievable defence set from the players kept Ashbourne out for large parts of the game.
Martina O Neill was very busy and was assisted by her two sisters Leanne and Rosie O'Neill, on Pitch.
Anna McGarry put in a striking kick in behind the Ashbourne defensive line with Rosie O Neill unlucky not to get on the end for a try.
Tara Quinn was a consistent threat at lineout time and worked tirelessly to pull the defensive line and organise.
Navan got on the score sheet through a series of dominant carries from the forwards and slick hands to Anna McGarry for her to dot down and convert her own try.
