Navan Women's 2nd/J1's were on the road to Barnhall J1 this afternoon. Navan started prominently with Mary-Lou Bridgeman getting Navan on the score sheet after 5 minutes with a 40 metre dash to the try line.
This was closely followed by a Niamh Lister effort, after a loose ball was kicked to her.
Barnhall got themselves back into the game and hit with three tries.

Navan settled themselves at the start of the second half with an important try by Leanne O’Neill. Keelan O’Connor leading from the base of the scrum brought Navan back into the game with her carries. Tara Quinn as always worked so well in the lineout and around the park. Leanne O’Neill was a constant threat for the visitors.

Sinead Ryan found herself on the score sheet, with a very important score. Lister struck again with a try, and Anna McGarry kicking on the day got two crucial conversions.

A great result on the road for the J1's.

Player of the Match was Keelan O’Connor, an ever present presence on the pitch with her carry's at her new Number 8 position.

Navan are at home next Sunday against Dublin University at 1pm. All support welcome
