Dear fellow Members,
The role of Club Welfare Officer (CWO) is one of the most vital positions in Navan RFC, ensuring our club upholds the highest standards in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. Under IRFU regulations (https://www.irishrugby.ie/playing-the-game/spirit-of-rugby/safeguarding/), every club must have a designated CWO to implement safeguarding policies, oversee compliance, and act as a point of contact for any concerns.
To share the workload and strengthen our safeguarding framework, we are seeking two volunteers for this crucial role. No prior experience is necessary—full training and support will be provided.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference in our club’s culture and safety. If you’re passionate about protecting our members and ensuring a welcoming, secure environment for all, please step forward.
Time commitment is manageable, but the impact is enormous. Let’s work together to keep Navan RFC safe and inclusive.
The summary of the role is available HERE.
If interested or for more details, please contact the Honorary Secretary ,Gerry Sweeney - info@navanrfc.ie by 8th August .
Thank you for your support—our club runs on volunteers like you!
Your in Rugby,
Stephen Mackarel
Chairman
